After fives years of living in and traveling around Mexico, I feel I know some places well enough to share them with you in a more in-depth way.

Long form guides are one of my favorite things to write, both for this blog and for these books.

I love going into depth about a historical site, a great restaurant and it’s best menu items, the origins of a particular drink or type of taco.

These are places in Mexico that are near and dear to my heart and that I continue to revisit both because I love them and to keep these guides as up-to-date as possible.

Whenever you buy one of my guides, you will forever receive the latest updates. Whenever I update the guide, I email those that have purchased it through Gumroad with the latest download, so you never have to worry about it going out of date like last year’s Lonely Planet.

There are always a few guides in draft form, so check back here regularly for the newest spots!

Los Cabos, La Paz, Todos Santos & More: A Guide to Baja California Sur

After moving to Baja California Sur in 2021, I fell in love with this region of Mexico. This guide is a collection of everything that makes this state so magical; the cities, small towns, tucked away beaches, top-notch tour guides, and locally-owned restaurants.

Inside you’ll find sections for every major city and town in the state including Todos Santos, Cabo San Lucas, San Jose del Cabo, La Paz, Loreto, and Mulegé. You’ll also find guides for smaller spots like Los Barriles, La Ventana, Miraflores, Santiago, and Cabo Pulmo.

This guidebook is without a doubt my most comprehensive guidebook to date. It is packed with historical information, phone numbers for the best guides and tour companies, hotels, restaurants, bars, cafes, and a digital map that you can download to your phone so that you can find all of them in the unnamed streets of Baja California Sur.

Mexico City: A Travel Guide

The city that has been my home for four years. The one that I knew absolutely nothing about when I first arrived here in 2016. The one I have fallen head over heels for. The one that the rest of the world has finally taken notice of.

This guide is the most comprehensive look at the city that I have ever seen. It is heavily weighed down by restaurant and bar recommendations because those are my favorite things, but it is also packed with historical facts, stories, boutique hotels, the best tour guides in town, and day trips you won’t want to miss.

This book was updated February 2023.
